Weybridge Deanery Care Group
“Care Group” is a rather formal name for what is simply a very happy and welcoming group of people, some younger, some older, Catholics and non-Catholics, some who are mostly housebound, some with special needs, some with physical handicaps, some family groups and all great friends.

Our Masses are very special celebrations with plenty of singing and are followed by tea in the parish hall. The teas are always a real treat.  Throughout the year, each of the ten parishes in our Weybridge Deanery, none of which is more than a twenty minute drive away, take it in turn to host a 3.00pm Sunday Mass followed by tea for all who wish to come.

In June, we have a special Diocesan gathering, with the Bishop in attendance, known as the “Fiesta”, at St. Joseph’s School, Cranleigh.

The intention of these very happy occasions is to provide a warm welcome, in sympathetic and very informal surroundings, for all the many people who have few opportunities to meet others.

There is a way in which you could help us:-

Many of our friends do not drive or have no access to transport, but we are usually able to provide lifts as required. Inevitably though, now and again, we may suffer from a shortage of drivers and it would be very helpful if we had a “standby” list of people willing to help on an occasional basis. Would you be willing to add your name to the list? Contact the Parish Office here.
